Learner Code of Conduct

Learner Code of Conduct

NProject

Version 1.0 | Updated date: 15 October 2026

This Code explains the conduct expected of learners and the safeguards NProject will apply when delivering professional training. It supplements, and does not replace, the applicable Training Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Customer Complaints and Resolution Policy.

1. Purpose and scope

This Code applies to learners, delegates and participants attending or accessing NProject training, including PMP, CAPM, CSPP and other professional courses, whether individually purchased or sponsored by an employer. It also applies, where relevant, to beneficiaries of the Free Training Initiative and to learners introduced through referral or affiliate programmes.

It covers live virtual instructor-led classes, corporate in-person courses, online communications and learning resources. If self-paced or on-demand courses are introduced, the relevant provisions will also apply to those learning environments. Course-specific instructions may supplement this Code where communicated in advance.

2. Our commitment to learners

NProject aims to deliver a professional, respectful, inclusive and accessible learning environment. We will explain course arrangements and reasonable expectations, treat concerns fairly, safeguard personal information and provide learning support consistent with the course purchased or awarded.

We will consider reasonable adjustments and requests for accessible materials in accordance with applicable law and practical course requirements. Learners should contact hello@nproject.co.uk as early as reasonably possible to discuss an adjustment.

3. Respectful and inclusive behaviour

Learners must treat trainers, fellow participants, NProject staff, clients and visiting speakers with courtesy and respect.

  • Do not engage in harassment, bullying, intimidation, discriminatory behaviour, threatening conduct, sexual harassment or hate speech.
  • Respect differences in experience, identity, opinions and communication styles. Challenge ideas constructively rather than attacking people.
  • Follow reasonable instructions designed to keep classes safe, accessible and productive.
  • Do not retaliate against anyone who raises a concern or makes a complaint in good faith.

4. Participation and professional learning

Learners are expected to attend punctually where scheduled, follow joining instructions, participate in good faith and avoid unreasonable disruption. If attendance is mandatory for contact hours, PDUs, course completion or partner requirements, NProject will explain the applicable rules.

  • Be truthful about attendance, participation, identity, prerequisites and completion of required learning activities.
  • Complete exercises and assessments honestly; do not impersonate another participant, falsify records or submit another person's work as your own.
  • Follow examination and credentialing requirements issued by PMI, GPM or the relevant independent certification body. NProject does not determine their examination outcomes.
  • Raise learning difficulties promptly so that reasonable support can be considered.

5. Virtual classroom and online conduct

When using video meetings, chat, discussion forums, course portals or messaging channels, learners must use them lawfully and for legitimate learning purposes.

  • Use appropriate language, screen names, profile images and backgrounds; avoid posting confidential or offensive content.
  • Do not share joining links, accounts, passwords or restricted materials with people who are not authorised to attend.
  • Do not deliberately interfere with online sessions, other participants' devices, course platforms or security measures.
  • Keep microphones muted when appropriate and follow reasonable trainer instructions on speaking, camera use and participation.

Camera use is not compulsory in all circumstances. Where visual attendance checks or practical activities are necessary, NProject will explain the reason and consider reasonable alternatives or adjustments.

6. In-person learning and safety

For in-person courses, learners must comply with reasonable venue rules, health and safety instructions, emergency procedures and any lawful access requirements communicated in advance.

  • Do not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a manner that creates a safety risk or materially disrupts learning.
  • Respect facilities, equipment and other attendees' belongings; report hazards, accidents or significant safety concerns promptly.
  • Do not bring weapons, engage in violence or threaten other people.

NProject will respond to safety concerns proportionately, including seeking urgent assistance where necessary.

7. Privacy, confidentiality and recordings

Learners must respect the confidentiality and privacy of fellow participants, trainers and clients. Do not disclose another person's contact details, sensitive information, workplace examples or identifiable discussion contributions without proper permission.

Audio or video recording, photographing or live-streaming a class, screen or another participant requires NProject's prior permission and any consent or other legal basis required for affected individuals. Do not repost class recordings or meeting links without authorisation.

NProject's own recording and personal-data practices are described in its Privacy Policy and any specific advance notice. A learner's participation is not blanket consent to public marketing or testimonial use.

8. Course materials and intellectual property

Courseware, slides, templates, recordings, exam-preparation questions and other resources may be protected by NProject's rights or those of PMI, GPM and other licensors.

Use materials only within the licence, access period and authorised learning purpose provided. Unless expressly permitted, do not upload them to public websites, sell them, reproduce them for external training, distribute them to non-participants or use them to train AI models.

Learners retain rights in their own original work but must respect confidentiality and third-party intellectual property. Statutory rights and licences granted by law are unaffected.

9. Responsible use of technology and AI tools

Learners may use lawful learning aids, including AI tools, where permitted by the trainer and relevant assessment or examination rules. AI-generated output must not be misrepresented as independent work where independent work is required.

Do not upload confidential client information, identifiable details about other learners, restricted partner courseware or assessment materials into public AI services without appropriate authorisation.

Unauthorised access, malware, credential sharing, automated scraping of restricted materials and attempts to bypass learning-platform security are prohibited.

10. Attendance, completion and certification

Completion certificates, contact-hour statements, PDUs, exam vouchers and other benefits are issued only where the advertised course requirements and applicable partner rules are satisfied. NProject may need to verify identity, attendance and required activities.

NProject will not knowingly issue false attendance or completion records. Learners may ask for factual errors to be reviewed and corrected.

Training does not guarantee passing an independent examination or receiving a credential. Any qualifying PMP money-back guarantee remains governed by its published Training Terms and is not cancelled by this Code.

11. Programme participation and fairness

Learners benefiting from the Free Training Initiative, Refer & Earn discounts, PMP Affiliate Programme or returning-learner loyalty offers must comply with the applicable programme terms and give accurate eligibility information.

Applying for or receiving a free place or discount does not reduce a learner's right to respectful treatment, accessible learning or lawful complaint handling.

Referral-testimonial submission and publication permissions are governed by the relevant programme terms and Privacy Policy, subject to UK data-protection law. This Code does not impose a separate testimonial requirement on free-training recipients.

12. Reporting concerns and requesting help

Learners can raise concerns about discrimination, conduct, access needs, safety, course delivery or confidentiality with the trainer where appropriate or confidentially by emailing hello@nproject.co.uk.

A learner may bypass the trainer and contact NProject directly where the concern involves the trainer or there is a conflict of interest. Urgent safety risks should be reported immediately to appropriate on-site staff or emergency services.

Formal complaints are handled under NProject's Customer Complaints and Resolution Policy. Data-protection concerns and individual rights are addressed in the Privacy Policy. No learner will be penalised for raising a concern in good faith.

13. Responding to breaches of this Code

NProject may take proportionate steps to protect learning, safety, rights and programme integrity. Depending on severity, these may include an informal reminder, private discussion, reasonable adjustment, written warning, restrictions on disruptive participation, temporary removal from a session or, for serious or repeated misconduct, exclusion from a course.

Where reasonably practicable, NProject will explain the concern, allow the learner to respond, consider relevant circumstances and accessibility needs, keep an appropriate record and provide a route to review the decision.

Immediate temporary measures may be necessary where there is a credible urgent risk. Exclusion, transfer, cancellation and any financial consequences will be assessed under the applicable Training Terms, contract, consumer law and fairness requirements; this Code does not create an automatic right to retain all fees or forfeit a free place without review.

Suspected criminal conduct, safeguarding concerns, fraudulent certification records or serious partner-rule violations may be referred to appropriate authorities or professional bodies where lawful and proportionate.

14. Rights, contracts and updates

This Code supplements the applicable Training Terms and Conditions, individual booking terms, corporate training agreement and mandatory legal rights. Where provisions conflict, mandatory law prevails; the applicable contract and published programme terms determine the parties' respective contractual rights to the extent lawful.

NProject may update this Code for changes in services, law or professional-body requirements. Material changes affecting existing course participants will be communicated appropriately and will not retrospectively remove accrued statutory or contractual rights.

15. Contact and document control
