NProject Free Training Initiative Terms
Pilot programme: 19 November 2026 – 19 November 2027
NProject | hello@nproject.co.uk
1. Purpose and pilot period
NProject offers a limited free-training initiative to widen access to professional training for individuals who genuinely cannot afford the course fees. The initiative is intended particularly to support students and people beginning or developing an early career in project management.
The initial pilot runs from 19 November 2026 to 19 November 2027, inclusive. NProject intends to make available up to one fully supported training place per pilot month, with a maximum of 12 places across the pilot. These are maximum allocations, not a guarantee that a place will be awarded in every month or on every course. NProject will review the pilot before deciding whether to extend it.
2. Eligible training and what is included
Applications may be considered for NProject professional training courses offered through its PMI- and GPM-related training portfolio, including eligible PMP, CAPM and Certified Sustainable Project Professional (CSPP) pathways, subject to availability and applicable course prerequisites.
A recipient receives the same standard training package and inclusions as a paying participant booked on the same course and pathway, as described on the relevant course page at the time of allocation. This may include standard course materials and any first-attempt examination voucher expressly included in that specific course package; inclusions differ by course. Additional examination attempts, retakes, membership fees, travel, accommodation, equipment and other personal costs are not included unless NProject confirms otherwise in writing.
The initiative offers a training place, not the award of a PMI, GPM or other professional credential. Examination admission, experience prerequisites, eligibility assessment and certification decisions remain subject to the independent awarding body's rules.
3. Who may apply
Applicants must (a) demonstrate genuine financial barriers to paying the normal course fee; (b) have a genuine educational or professional-development reason for undertaking the requested course; (c) meet any relevant entry or certification prerequisites; and (d) be able to attend and participate in the available training cohort.
Student status or being at an early career stage may help establish the purpose of the initiative, but neither automatically guarantees acceptance nor replaces the financial-need assessment. Applicants must provide accurate information. NProject may ask reasonable questions to verify eligibility and prevent duplicate awards or misuse.
4. Application windows and how to apply
Applications must be submitted using the official Free Training Initiative form on the NProject website, during an application window publicly announced by NProject. Opening and closing dates, the course or cohort to which an application may relate, and any additional practical instructions will be published on that page. Applications received outside an announced window may not be considered.
An application is complete only when all mandatory form fields, declarations and necessary eligibility details have been received. NProject may ask an applicant to correct an incomplete submission; the application is considered complete at the point the requested missing information has been received. Submission does not reserve or guarantee a place.
5. Assessment and selection
NProject will assess applications for completeness, genuine financial need, applicable prerequisites and suitability for an available cohort. Subject to these eligibility and verification checks, the first complete and verified eligible application received for an available monthly place will ordinarily be selected.
Where the earliest application cannot be verified or is ineligible, NProject may consider the next complete eligible application in the same published window. If an otherwise eligible applicant cannot attend the next available cohort, NProject may consider the applicant for a later eligible cohort, subject to availability and the published pilot rules; no place is held indefinitely.
A normal NProject training cohort is capped at 20 learners. A supported place counts within, and does not increase, that limit. Selection involves human review; NProject does not use solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Evidence of financial need and verification
Applicants must provide a truthful declaration explaining why they cannot reasonably fund the requested training. NProject may ask shortlisted applicants for limited supporting evidence, such as confirmation of a bursary, benefit eligibility, student hardship support, or a brief reference from a university, charity or suitable supporting organisation.
Applicants should redact unrelated personal and financial information before sharing evidence. NProject does not routinely request full bank statements, passports, medical documents or detailed sensitive records. NProject may ask for clarification or alternative proportionate evidence if necessary, and will handle evidence in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
7. Notification, acceptance and attendance
NProject will contact the selected applicant using the details provided. A place is confirmed only when NProject has communicated written approval and the applicant has accepted any reasonable joining instructions or acceptance deadline stated in that communication.
If a selected applicant declines, becomes uncontactable after reasonable attempts, or cannot attend the allocated cohort, NProject may offer the place to another eligible applicant. Recipients must comply with the applicable Training Terms & Conditions, attendance requirements, learning-platform rules and Learner Code of Conduct, so far as those provisions are relevant to a free place.
8. No fees, cash alternative or transfer
An awarded supported place carries no charge for the tuition and standard package inclusions expressly covered by the award. It has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, sold, transferred to another person or combined with a refund or discount against a separately purchased course.
Because the supported tuition price paid by the recipient is £0, there is no tuition payment to refund if the recipient withdraws. This does not limit any statutory rights relating to other goods or services the recipient may purchase separately.
9. Changes, postponement and limited availability
NProject may change an advertised cohort date or teaching arrangements where reasonably necessary, for example due to instructor availability, insufficient enrolment or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Where possible, NProject will offer an appropriate alternative cohort to an affected supported recipient.
NProject may suspend or amend future application windows for legitimate operational, funding, safeguarding or legal reasons, but will communicate material changes transparently and handle already confirmed supported places fairly. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Honest applications and programme integrity
NProject may reject an application or withdraw an award if material information was deliberately false, eligibility requirements were not met or there is substantiated misuse. Before reaching a final adverse decision, NProject will normally provide the applicant a reasonable opportunity to clarify apparent inconsistencies.
A rejected application does not automatically result in a permanent ban. NProject will assess any future application fairly in accordance with the then-current programme criteria.
11. Testimonials and promotional use
Recipients may be invited to provide feedback, a testimonial, photograph or video about their experience. Such promotional participation is optional and is not a condition of being awarded or retaining a free-training place.
NProject will explain any proposed public use separately and obtain an appropriate lawful basis and consent where required. Declining promotional publication permission will not adversely affect eligibility or the award.
12. Personal information and retention
NProject uses application details, eligibility declarations, proportionate supporting evidence and training records to administer the initiative, confirm eligibility, allocate places, prevent misuse and communicate decisions, as explained in the NProject Privacy Policy.
Access to financial-need evidence is restricted to authorised personnel with a genuine assessment need. For unsuccessful applicants, supporting financial documents will normally be securely deleted within 90 days of the decision, unless a specific complaint, appeal, suspected misuse or legal requirement justifies limited longer retention. A minimal application and decision record may be kept for a separately documented period. Successful applicants' supporting evidence will be retained only for as long as reasonably required under the Privacy Policy and documented retention arrangements.
Applicants should not send unnecessary health, banking, identity or other sensitive information. For privacy enquiries or requests, contact hello@nproject.co.uk.
13. Independence of professional bodies
NProject training and any included course benefits are subject to the relevant course descriptions and partner requirements. PMI, GPM and any examination or certification provider are independent bodies with their own eligibility requirements, assessments, policies and fees. NProject does not promise a particular examination result, certification decision or employment outcome.
14. Complaints and questions
Questions about an application, selection decision or these Terms can be sent to hello@nproject.co.uk. Applicants may ask NProject to reconsider a decision if they believe relevant eligibility evidence was overlooked or a factual error occurred. NProject will review such requests fairly, subject to the pilot's limited places and scheduling constraints.
For concerns about personal information, the rights and complaint procedures in the NProject Privacy Policy apply.
15. Governing law and document hierarchy
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable to the recipient. The courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.
These initiative-specific Terms apply together with the NProject Privacy Policy and applicable Training Terms & Conditions. If there is a conflict concerning the award, selection or administration of a free supported place, these initiative-specific Terms take precedence to the extent permitted by law. Statutory rights are unaffected.
